China sees 60 million bloggers by year's end | CNET News.com

China is the world's second-largest Internet market after the United States with more than 110 million users. A survey by Chinese search engine Baidu.com put the current number of blog, or Web log, sites at 36.82 million which are kept by 16 million people, the official Xinhua news agency said on Saturday.
The number of Chinese bloggers is expected to hit 60 million by the end of this year, Xinhua said, quoting a report on China's media industry by the prestigious Tsinghua University.

The blogosphere is over 60 times bigger than it was only 3 years ago.
New blog creation continues to grow. Technorati currently tracks over 75,000 new weblogs created every day, which means that on average, a new weblog is created every second of every day - and 19.4 million bloggers (55%) are still posting 3 months after their blogs are created. That's an increase both absolute and relative terms over just 3 months ago, when only 50.5% or 13.7 million blogs were active. In other words, even though there's a reasonable amount of tire-kicking going on, blogging continues to grow as a habitual activity.

The bloggers got ahold of it, and that was a mistake. <a target="_blank" href="http://www.chevyapprentice.com/view.php?country=us&uniqueid=21bdeec0-1600-1029-98eb-0013724ff5a7">This commercial</a> kicked the whole thing off, when it got sent around some blogging circles. Now, we’re all making commercials.

我看了一些兩岸 bloggers 的「政見」，但我最大的收穫還是因此知道了一些中國著名的 bloggers 以及他們眼中的世界。其實，兩岸之間真的沒有那麼大的差別，尤其在 bloggers 的圈子裡。隨便連結幾個網誌，我們可以看到的是[说说我的Firefox Extensions] 或是 [榕城10地：序]。尤其當我看到 [flypig: 在屋顶唱着你的歌] 橫幅上的卡通造型時，我想到的竟然是 [zonble's promptbook]。兩岸之間的「同」似乎沒有我之前想像的少。
