When the weather is bad I take a bus to work. I’m forever grateful to the person at the bus stop who informed me that you can text New York’s MTA service to find out exactly where the bus is and when it’s going to arrive. Sure, an app that put the bus on a map would be more rich in information, but when I got to texting Bus Time I thought, “Thank god I don’t need to download another f------ app for this.”

Berkenstock describes his work at EmTech 2011: Cheaper satellite pictures. Skybox Imaging Dan Berkenstock, cofounder and chief product officer of Skybox Imaging, wants to let "anyone know what's happening anywhere in the world at any time." Next year the company plans to launch the first of what it hopes will be a constellation of 12 to 24 satellites taking high-­resolution pictures of Earth. Each satellite should cost about a tenth as much as the $250 million to $500 million imaging satellites operated by companies like DigitalGlobe and GeoEye.

So, this page was released in September 2009, right before the third season of TBBT was being aired. It was started as a fan project - and still is - providing a list of naming the images shown in the intro of the TV series TBBT while the Barenaked Ladies sing "History Of Everything".
