Kororaa is essentially a binary install method for Gentoo Linux. The end system you will have is 100% Gentoo. There are two flavours: Kororaa - which comes with KDE as the default desktop, and; Gororaa - which comes with Gnome as the default desktop. There is also a side-project for Kororaa called the LiveCD. It is a livecd designed to showcase AIGLX, Xgl, compiz, KDE, Gnome, Gentoo and Kororaa technologies. The livecd lets you safely play with the Kororaa system and has the option to install to disk. Our installer takes care of most of the manual configuring required under the Gentoo method, and we have also added a large number tweaks and automations along the way. Kororaa also comes with a carefully selected suite of KDE based applications for your use (Gnome applications for Gororaa) and the system has been designed specifically for these.

Kubuntu is a user friendly operating system based on KDE, the K Desktop Environment. With a predictable 6 month release cycle part of the Ubuntu project, Kubuntu is the GNU/Linux distribution for everyone.

Garbure est une collection de plates-formes spécialisées proposées sous forme de distributions GNU/Linux. Chacune d'elle contient des outils choisis spécialement pour le domaine qu'elle recouvre, accompagnés d'exemples et de documentation. Ces distributions forment un tout mais fonctionnent individuellement, elle sont complémentaires. Comme les outils d'une boîte à outils ou bien les volumes d'une encyclopédie. Les logiciels, la documentation et les exemples, sont choisis, testés et même créés au besoin par des acteurs du domaine en question.

Ubuntu est une distribution Linux qui réunit stabilité et convivialité. Elle s'adresse aussi bien aux particuliers qu'aux professionnels, débutants ou confirmés qui souhaitent disposer d'un système d'exploitation libre et sécurisé. "Ubuntu" est un ancien mot africain qui signifie "humanité aux autres". Ubuntu signifie également "Je suis ce que je suis grâce à ce que nous sommes tous". La distribution Ubuntu Linux apporte l'esprit Ubuntu au monde logiciel.

La Kaella (Knoppix Linux Azur) est une distribution Linux qui tient sur un CD et fonctionne sans rien avoir à installer sur le disque dur de votre PC. Il s'agit donc d'un système d'exploitation complet, fourni avec tous les logiciels nécessaires à l'utilisation d'un PC : navigateur internet, messagerie, suite bureautique, lecteurs multimédias (images, photos, sons, vidéos), jeux, etc... La Kaella est basée sur la distribution Knoppix : certains logiciels ont été supprimés, d'autres ont été ajoutés, mais surtout elle a été francisée. Ce n'est pas un "fork", car elle est reconstruite à chaque nouvelle version de la Knoppix, pour profiter au maximum des dernières nouveautés.
