NConf, enfin une couche Web acceptable pour Nagios (à essayer...)

Nous allons dans ce billet apporter une pincée de Web 2.0 dans cet édifice en proposant une notification via Twitter. Les avantages de cette solution: * facilité de consultation des notifcations à partir du Web et/ou de n’importe quel client Twitter * facilité du partage des notifications entre administrateurs (il suffit de s’abonner au Twitter en question) * les messages Twitter sont bien adapté aux notifications Nagios (messages courts, possibilité de lien hypertexte vers le serveur Nagios….)

Tout comme Nagios, Zenoss est un outil de supervision open-source gratuit (il existe une version commerciale comportant plus d’options). Il se base sur une application Web qui va surveiler les noeuds de votre réseau et générer des rapports si chers aux yeux des décideurs informatiques…

Opsview is enterprise network and application monitoring software designed for scalability, flexibility and ease of use. Opsview has been in development since 2003 and is released under the GNU GPL license. Current version is 2.12. WebInject is a free tool for automated testing of web applications and web services. It can be used to test individual system components that have HTTP interfaces (JSP, ASP, CGI, PHP, AJAX, Servlets, HTML Forms, XML/SOAP Web Services, REST, etc), and can be used as a test harness to create a suite of [HTTP level] automated functional, acceptance, and regression tests. A test harness allows you to run many test cases and collect/report your results. WebInject offers real-time results display and may also be used for monitoring system response times. WebInject can be used as a complete test framework that is controlled by the WebInject User Interface (GUI). Optionally, it can be used as a standalone test runner (text/console application) which can be integrated and called from other test frameworks or applications.

Superbe IHM pour Nagios

PNP is not PerfParse (blague pour les geek codeurs en Lisp) est un module permettant à Nagios de stocker dans une base RRD et d’afficher via une interface Web des données provenant de vos plugins Nagios. Actuellement en version de développement (0.4.4 au moment de l’écriture de ce billet), PNP comble un manque important dans Nagios: la génération de graphiques personnalisés intégrés à l’interface Web.
