ICMC: Welcome

The International Computer Music Association (ICMA) is an international affiliation of individuals and institutions involved in the technical, creative, and performance aspects of computer music. It serves composers, computer software and hardware developers, researchers, and musicians who are interested in the integration of music and technology. The International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) is the preeminent annual international gathering for computer music composers and researchers. The ICMC interweaves peer-reviewed paper presentations with concerts of new computer music, creating a vital synthesis of science, technology, and the art of music. Each ICMC produces a Concert Program and Proceedings. The Proceedings is the collection of peer-reviewed papers and studio reports presented at each ICMC.

Elektrophonie - Voyages en Utopies Sonores

En investissant des sites prestigieux du patrimoine architectural, en associant programmations musicales et visuelles, et en offrant à des artistes d’horizons multiples un espace de travail commun, l’association Elektrophonie cherche à favoriser l’émergence de nouvelles formes de spectacles conjuguant créativité, rencontres et expérimentations. Depuis 2001, ce projet se concrétise à travers l’organisation de la Nuit Bleue, de concerts acousmatiques et électroniques, de conférences, de tables rondes, de résidences d’artistes et d’actions pédagogiques autour des musiques électroacoustiques.

Capriccio Stravagante

Capriccio Stravagante is world-renowned for their memorable interpretations of Renaissance and Baroque music. Founded in 1986 by Skip Sempé, the ensemble of 4-40 performers now incorporates Capriccio Stravagante, the Capriccio Stravagante Orchestra, the Capriccio Stravagante Renaissance Orchestra and Capriccio Stravagante Opera. The diverse vocal and instrumental formations feature the finest European, American and Canadian musicians. Their extensive discography includes music by Byrd, Monteverdi, Purcell, Bach, Buxtehude, Handel, Telemann, Lully and Couperin, as well as “Versailles – L’Ile Enchantée”, “Venezia Stravagantissima” (Alpha) and “Paradizo” (Paradizo). These recordings have made a considerable contribution to Capriccio Stravagante’s acceptance as the foremost interpretive force in Renaissance and Baroque repertoire to have emerged in decades.
