Europe Looks at Biofuels Alternatives

Americans are betting big on ethanol as a green fuel. European carmakers are far less convinced that ethanol is the best green fuel choice. They are experimenting with a variety of biofuels, including biodiesel, biomass, and hydrogen - as well as compressed natural gas and engine technologies that reduce harmful carbon-dioxide emissions.

38% Of All Mercedes Models With A Fuel Consumption Below 6.5 Litres Per 100 Kilometres

More than 38 percent of all new Mercedes cars sold in Europe consume fewer than 6.5 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres. And one in five new Mercedes-Benz cars has a fuel consumption of no more than around five litres per 100 kilometres.
