Groups Los Angeles Public Library (lapl.org) holds (requests) by status: Ready for Pickup, In Transit, or Pending. Instead of just listing the holds by status, this userscript groups them by status. For holds that are Ready for Pickup it shows for each pickup date: * The number of days you have left to pick up your holds. Remember that "a $1.00 fee will be charged if an item placed on hold is not canceled or picked up by the "Hold Until" date." * The day of the week when the holds are due to be picked up * The pickup date * and the number of items to be picked up by that date. This is then followed by the items due to be picked up sorted by title. For holds that are Pending I list the items by the ratio of available # of copies to queue position. This gives you some idea of the order in which your holds will be available. If the ratio is above 1.00 you can expect the hold to be available "soon" (within 3 weeks).

Que ce soit grâce à Shibboleth, EZProxy ou un VPN , peu importe, mais ça existe et ça marche. En es-tu si sur ?L’ami, j’ai un petit truc qui va te permettre de tester depuis ton bureau tes accès distants. Il suffit de faire croire que ton IP n’est pas une IP de ton établissement, et carrément, une IP même pas française, un IP du bout du monde. On va utiliser le logiciel Ultrasurf,(à utiliser sans installation pour IE) , un add-on pour Firefox. Une fois lancé, le logiciel va nous connecter à un proxy et nous donc nous permettre de faire croire au monde entier que notre IP est une IP nord-américaine

Problème : cela implique (en tout cas pour le moment) que vos lecteurs installent sur leurs navigateurs l’extension OpenURL Referrer, dont j’ai déjà parlé, qui transforme les COinS en URL cliquables. Il faut donc leur indiquer le site, leur demander de télécharger l’extention, et leur expliquer comment paramétrer les valeurs à y mettre (essentiellement URL du résolveur, et sa version). On risque de perdre plus de la moitié du lectorat visé par ces consignes. La meilleure solution est donc de proposer, sur le site de la bibliothèque, l’extension préparamétrée. Cela permet d’esquiver complètement la notion d’OpenURL (amusez-vous à la leur expliquer si vous vous en sentez le courage), et de leur proposer “simplement” : une extension qui permet de rebondir depuis une référence d’ouvrage trouvée sur Internet vers le catalogue de sa bibliothèque, pour voir rapidement si elle le propose ou non. Quelques explications préalables sont nécessaires.

Honnêtement, j’ai eu du mal avec l’interface de paramétrages de LibX. Et comme je n’ai pas réussi à trouver de tutoriel simple en français, il me semble utile d’en faire un petit ici. Pour l’instant, mon objectif avec LibX sera “simple” (au regard de toutes les possibilités que l’outil offre) : obtenir des ISBN cliquables dans les pages web que je vais rencontrer. LibX permet aussi, par exemple, une articulation avec un résolveur de lien et un proxy (pour les ressources en ligne payantes). Mais on n’en est pas là.

Since an important use of this metadata will be to allow processing agents to make OpenURL hyperlinks for users in libraries (latent OpenURL), the method must allow the metadata to be placed any where in HTML that a link might appear. In the absence of some metadata-aware agent, the embedded metadata must be invisible to the user and innocuous with respect to HTML markup. To meet these requirements, the span element was selected. The NISO OpenURL ContextObject is selected as the specific metadata package. The resulting specification is named "ContextObject in SPAN" or COinS for short. puts a small yellow box in the corner of your Google Print book search. The box includes a book title and a link to the library system's search results. When clicked, a new browser tab is created containing the library's lookup page with the book's location and status. The script also linkifies the library names on the latter page, to point to the library's street map, hours and phone page. This GM script acts on 2 completely separate pages. Should be relatively straightforward to alter for your own local library's book search API and map and hours.
